Thomas House
Transitional Family Shelter
No one should be living on the street
Thomas House is a family shelter dedicated to transforming lives.
Our mission is to do more than house those in need. We want to help families overcome generational poverty by becoming more self-sufficient.
Thomas House provides transitional rent-free shelter in 20 fully furnished apartment units with food, supplies, and clothing. Families receive weekly groceries and supplies from our on-site food pantry, and new or gently used clothing from community vouchers and donations.

A quarter of a million people are homeless in the United States. Whether it’s individuals or single mothers or even full families, this is a crisis no one should suffer.
Our mission is to help families overcome generational poverty and live a life of sustainability.
We provide temporary housing to help families get back on their feet. But we also offer supportive programs and services so they can live self-sufficient lives going forward.

Our biggest need is funding.
Our hope is to pay off our current building so we can expand and offer more apartments to those in need. We currently have a waiting list.
We would also like to increase our pay to staff members to retain our employees.
Donate to help:
Expand our services
Secure employee pay
Sponsor a family’s unit of housing
Volunteer work:
We also love and need more volunteers.
Help clean and restore apartments between residents.
Work and organize food pantry and donations
Help with fundraiser events
Youth development program (tutoring, mentoring, activities and event coordination)
Serve meals for residents
And plenty more
