James was born with down syndrome. He's faced numerous health challenges including a hole in his heart and hearing loss. He's had over thirty surgeries but is now a thriving, happy, and healthy boy. Larkin O'Reilly shares her story and how this journey has changed her as a person. She started a nonprofit called Common Ground Society to help advocate for inclusive societies.
Having James has opened her eyes to challenges many families face, especially when it comes to stereotypes around disabilities. Larkin's hope is that everyone is seen as equals regardless of our differences or abilities.
