Rescuing Australian Shepherds Nationwide

All dogs deserve a fulfilling life.

Australian Shepherds Furever rescues dogs from all over the nation.

We find Aussies, both mixed and purebred, in need across the continental United States. We rescue and save them from shelters, deplorable living conditions, or other undesirable circumstances. Once in our care, we offer these dogs foster homes, medical care, training, rehabilitation, and all the attention and love they need to thrive again. When each Aussie is ready, we do our due diligence to find them their new, forever home with the perfect person or family.

  • Rescue and Foster Services:

    We find dogs nationwide and place them in our foster program. The dogs we rescue often come from high-kill shelters, puppy mills, or from individuals who can’t properly take care of them.

    Since we do not have shelters to hold our rescues, our services rely on our foster program. Our fosters provide a safe and loving home until they’re adopted.

    Animal Medical Care Services:

    We provide all necessary treatment and services to help our rescues quality of life.

    • Veterinary services

    • Neutering and spaying

    • Vaccines

    Seniors for Seniors Program:

    We pair senior dogs with senior adults and wave the adoption fee.

  • Our greatest needs are funding and fosters.

    Right now we face a variety of challenges:

    • Lack of resources

    • Rising veterinary costs

    • Lack of volunteers and fosters

    • An increase in need with more abandoned dogs

    • Challenges of placing herding dogs in home (high energy dogs)

    We’re seeing an increase in need. Economic challenges are impacting families. This leads to less adoptions and more abandoned pets. Many foster and adoption organizations are closing which places a higher burden on other organizations, like ourselves.

    We need more funding to expand our services. And we need more foster volunteers so we can rescue more dogs.

  • We have rescued over 5,000 aussie dogs since we’ve started. If our doors close, hundreds of dogs will unfortunately die or suffer each year.
